Sarasota Invitational Regatta

15th annual Sarasota Invitational Regatta! Hosted by the Sarasota County Rowing Club with support from Benderson Development and Nathan Benderson Park Conservancy, Inc. (NBPC). It's hard to believe this regatta is in its fifteenth year.

Sarasota Invitational is a 2 day regatta, Day 1 are the Youth Events and Day 2 are the Masters Events. SORA’s events are ONLY on Saturday, February 28, 2026

This is a LONG regatta, you should plan for 6:00 am arrival time and a departure time of 5pm or later.

Registration is required for this regatta. However, it is EXPECTED that all HS rowers attend this regatta. 

This is an out of town regatta, however travel and hotels are not included in the registration fee. Rowers are NOT permitted to drive themselves. All rowers must ride over with a parent or ride-share with another rower family.

Registration Deadline: Thursday, February 5th

Arrival Time: TBD, Plan on an early arrival, 6:00am for ALL

Parking: Parking is located off-island and there will be a parking fee

While the Sarasota Circus will be on Regatta Island, they have moved their entire operation to the eastern segment of the island. Parking for competitors and spectators will be near the new aquarium or parking lots near the venue. See Link Below

SORA does not have a parent room block for this event due to this being a one-day regatta. However, we do have 4 to 5 extra rooms available in the Coaching Staff Room block. Please see link below if you are interested. Deadline for booking a room using the SORA room block is February 8, 2026.

Arrival: SORA Blue Polo & ALL black pants or ALL black shorts

Regatta: Hi-VIs SORA Shirt, black shorts or pants

Race Wear: Unisuits and Hi-Vis SORA Yellow hats for those that have them.

It is VERY important that all of our rowers represent SORA in the best possible way and are in SORA approved gear at the regatta.
