2020 Novice Regatta (Novice HS & All MS)

Registration

  • Only middle school rowers need to register in advance for regattas so we have an accurate head count.

Novice Regatta is a great regatta for our Novice and Middle School rowers to gain experience in Spring Sprints Racing. This is a in-town regatta and rowers may drive themselves.  While this is not a required regatta for the Varsity HS team, we encourage you to attend and cheer on our Novice and MS rowers.

Parking: There will be a park entrance fee to enter Bill Frederick Turkey Lake Park

  • $2.00 - Single Admission
  • $5.00 - Admission for up to 6 in your vehicle

The early morning line into Bill Frederick can be quite long in the early morning, this year Turkey Lake is looking to relieve the entry back up by using an online pre-paid entry system. Please click on the link below and buy your park pass today.

Line-ups are subject to change by the coaches. Please confirm all rowers races with coaching staff. 

High School 

Report Time:   6:30am (ALL Novice Rowers)

(Subject to change by Coach Tom and Coach Deidrah)

Please plan on a long line at entry and plan your arrival accordingly

*This is an in-town regatta, Rowers ARE allowed to drive themselves

Release Time:

ALL Rowers will be released at the conclusion of the regatta and all boats are loaded and secured.

Regatta Wear: 

  • Arrival: Hi-VIs SORA Shirt, black shorts or pants
  • Reminder - (no stripes or markings of any other color)
  • Race Wear:  Unisuits and Hi-Vis SORA Yellow hats

Approved Cold Weather Gear: Under Unisuits

  • White long sleeve compression shirt (No other colors or markings)
  • Black long compression pants(No other colors or markings)

HI- Vis Yellow hats are REQUIRED in all races. 

New hats can be purchased for $20 please see Kelly to purchase

Middle School 

Report Time: 7:30am (ALL Middle School Rowers)

Release time will be after their race and when released by the coaches. 

We invite all MS families to stay and watch all of our SORA crew. It is a great day on the water

Regatta Wear: Arrive in your Hi-Vis Yellow shirts (SORA Logo) and solid black shorts (no stripes or markings of any other color)

Race Wear: SORA Race Tank, Black Spandex shorts and Hi-Vis Yellow Hat
