2019 Summer Masters Program - June / July

We are excited to offer you a new way to enjoy your summer and to get back rowing again with SORA. As we look forward to rolling out our new Master’s Program later this summer. We have developed this new opportunity to get you on the water this summer with other rowers and meet SORA’s new master/junior coach. Coach Deidrah Kennedy. We will continue to announce more dates.

During these open rows, rowers will have the opportunity to gain skills both on and off the water. This is open to all levels of rowers and boats will be made upon sign up and arrival.

• Tuesday, June 25, 6:00pm - 8:00pm
• Saturday, June 29, 8:30am - 10:30am
• Tuesday, July 9, 6:00pm - 8:00pm
• Thursday, July 11, 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Cost - Daily Rate of $15 - Paid in advance

Please Note - If your Moss Park park pass is no longer active you will be responsible for your park entry fee.

Coach Deidrah is a long-time rower and a USRowing Certified Coach and she brings her love of rowing and her high school (prep school), collegiate, masters and club experience to SORA.

About Coach Deidrah - She comes to us from Davenport, Iowa where she called Rivermont Collegiate Rowing Academy home as the head rowing coach and the Assistant Head of Residence Life on campus. With her position as Head Coach, Deidrah has built the program from the ground up.  In the program's first year rowers won Novice 1x at hooch, placed 1st and 10th in novice 2x and 2nd in novice 4x at Midwest Championship regional regatta. Deidrah also was the assistant head coach of Y Quad Cities Rowing which is one of the premier rowing clubs in the country. She will bring the skills that she has gained from all of the great coaches, rowers and her own personal training here to SORA.

Coach Deidrah has extensive experience in building programs at several prep-schools, clubs and colleges over the last 7 years. She earned her degree in Communications from the University of Dubuque where she pursed her other passion of golf and was a member of the Women’s Golf Team. Coach Deidrah rowed on the Quad City Rowing Association as a Junior where her love of Rowing began.
