Registration

  • Your rower will ride with a parent (you or someone you have arranged for them to ride with) AND they will stay with their family

    - NO ROWER HOTEL ROOM FEE
    - NO TEAM VAN FEE

    ROWER must be at venue for practice (Friday), racing (Sat & Sun) and team meetings (Sat p.m. at team hotel) on time.

    This Registration includes Team meals Friday Night, Saturday Lunch & Sunday Lunch. Breakfast is at the team hotel.
  • Your rower stays in the rower assigned hotel rooms but DOES NOT ride in the team van (s)

FSRA State Sweep Championships weekend is Friday 4/28 - Sunday 4/30.  All regatta emails will be sent via the registered email for your rower (whatever email you registered for the event with).

  • If you know you will be on site early because your rower will be racing early, please consider signing up to help setup snacks and water.  These items will already be IN the hospitality trailer.

  • If you are contribute a 10x10 tent for use by the team (at the trailer, on the beach in front of our reserved tent or in the grass behind our reserved tents), we can transport it in the hospitality trailer.  Dropoff is available anytime this week.  Contact Katie to coordinate dropoff.

FSRA is a membership organization which hosts State Championships.  Each team is responsible for contributing voluteers.  If you would like to participate in the positions already reserved by SORA, contact katie@soracrew.com

  • 1-5:30 p.m. Saturday - Launch Drivers

    • Must have experience driving a small outboard engine

    • Four positions are reserved for SORA

  • 7:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Sunday - Launch Drivers

    • Must have experience driving a small outboard engine

    • Three positions are reserved for SORA

  • 1p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Sunday - Finish Line Assistant

    • No rowing experience Necessary.  You will be under a shaded tent!

    • This position will likely end at 4 p.m. (at the conclusion of racing)

    • Est last race for SORA is 3:25 p.m. so your volunteer obligation will end before the trailer is loaded after the last race

    • This is a good volunteer opportunity for rowers wanting service hours!!


WEEKEND SCHEDULE:

FRIDAY

  • 11:45 a.m. - Report time AT MOSS PARK for rowers riding team Vans

    • Rowers should have already eaten lunch OR should bring lunch with them on the van.  There will not be a stop between Moss Park and the Regatta Venue

  • 3 p.m. - Report time for ALL ROWERS at the regatta venue

  • 5:30 p.m. - Team dinner AT THE REGATTA VENUE


SATURDAY

  • Breakfast is provided by the hotel.

  • All rowers & coxswains will report to the venue a minimum of 2 hours before their race

  • Rowers & coxswains riding on team vans should confirm shuttle times with your  van driver Friday night

  • 11-1 P.M. - Lunch AT THE VENUE

  • Afternoon racing is TBD based on performance in morning heats

  • DINNER will be paid by rowers (please plan ahead & bring cash or card). Rowers who ride in the team vans, but eat dinner with their parents (or another rower & their parents), must update their van driver.  Rowers will have the flexibility to eat with their parents (not required to have team meal), but must be back for team meeting (est 7:30 p.m., but wil be confirmed after rep progressions are decided).

  • ROWERS STAYING WITH PARENTS must be at the team hotel for an evening meeting (est 7:30 p.m., but will be confirmed after rep progressions are decided)


SUNDAY

  • Breakfast is provided by the hotel.

  • All rowers & coxswains will report to the venue a minimum of 2 hours before their race

  • Rowers & coxswains riding on team vans should confirm shuttle times with your  van driver Friday night

  • 11-1 P.M. - Lunch AT THE VENUE

  • 4:30 p.m. - Est release time from the regatta (based on current available schedule & est final SORA race at 3:25 p.m.)

  • VAN RIDERS riding home with parents (not in the team van) MUST notify their van driver before leaving.

There will be a daily parking fee (est $5/car).  This regatta will be MUCH busier that Sculling State Championships and rules will be more strictly enforced.  Please abide by the venue rules while you are representing SORA!  


This is an out of town regatta.  Rowers are NOT allowed to drive themselves

Due to the positive response from sculling states of allowing families to choose Team van or NO Team Van for their rowers, we are expanding the choices to our membership for Sweep State Championships at the end of the month:

  • OPTION 1 ($85):  Your rower will ride with a parent (you or someone you have arranged for them to ride with) AND they will stay with their family  
    • NO ROWER HOTEL ROOM FEE 
    • NO TEAM VAN FEE
    • ROWER must be at venue for practice (Friday), racing (Sat & Sun) and team meetings (Sat p.m. at team hotel) on time.
  • OPTION 2 ($170): Your rower stays in the rower assigned hotel rooms but DOES NOT ride in the team van (s)
    • ROWER HOTEL ROOM FEE
    • NO TEAM VAN FEE
    • ROWER must be at venue for practice (Friday), racing (Sat & Sun) and team meetings (Sat p.m. at team hotel) on time.
  • OPTION 3 ($210): Your rower stays in the rower assigned hotel rooms AND rides on the team van(s)
    • ROWER HOTEL ROOM FEE
    • TEAM VAN FEE
    • Coaches will transport rowers to be on time to practice, racing and team meetings.

WE HAVE ALL ROWERS currently assigned to Team Hotel rooms.  However, if there is a positive response to rowers staying with their families instead in team rooms, we will have a few more rooms available for SORA parents.

The current schedule has Rowers arriving at the venue on Friday 4/28 at 3 p.m.  Rowers will rig, practice, and have team pasta dinner at the venue.

To make this work, we need you to REGISTER for Sweep State Championship NO LATER than Wednesday 4/19.  Payment Deadline is Wednesday 4/26
