Registration

  • Ride on the team bus to and from the event, leaving at 10:00pm, Thursday, November 5th and returning very late Sunday night/Monday morning. Parents will be asked to do light chaperone duty during the infrequent stops.
  • Registration covers transportation, lodging, two meals and regatta fees.

Itinerary:

WEDNESDAY 11/4
  • 2:30-4:30 P.M: Practice (trailer loading) at moss park

THURSDAY 11/5

  • NO PRACTICE!
  • 9:30 P.M. report at Spring of Life United Methodist Church
  • 11101 Moss Park Rd, Orlando, FL 32832
  • We will drive through the night (Mears Charter Bus) 
  • Meals purchased by rowers:  NONE

FRIDAY 11/6

  • 8:30 a.m. expected arrival at Head of the Hooch Race Course
  • 9-11:30:  Unload trailer, rig boats, set up hospitality
  • 11:30-12: Lunch (provided by SORA hospitality)
  • 12-3: Practice
  • 3:30 p.m.: arrive at Hotel
  • 6:00 p.m: TBD. Either at hotel or at local restaurant.  Update will be provided Wednesday.
  • Meals purchased by rowers: Breakfast, Dinner TBD

SATURDAY 11/7

  • Breakfast at Hotel
  • 6:45 A.M.: Expected departure from hotel
  • 8:20 a.m.: First SORA race
  • Lunch provided by SORA hospitality
  • 4:45 p.m: Last SORA race
  • Dinner (location TBD)
  • Meals purchased by rowers: Dinner

SUNDAY 11/8

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • 6:45 a.m. expected Departure from Hotel
  • 7:50 a.m: First SORA race
  • Lunch provided by SORA hospitality
  • 1:33: Last SORA race
  • 3:45 p.m.: expected departure from regatta
  • Midnight-1 A.M.: Expected return to Spring of Life United Methodist Church
    • Rowers are to notify parents when we leave the race venue 
    • Rowers are to notify parents of expected arrival to Orlando (we recommend they check in with parents after the Dinner stop)
  • Meals purchased by rowers: Dinner

    • Unisuit
    • Long sleeve compression shirt (for morning races)
    • 2 days of SORA regatta gear
  • SORA polo
  • SORA jacket (Varsity)
  • Warm outer layers
  • Clothes for dinner Friday & Saturday
  • Pillow
  • Blanket
  • Small bag to keep on the bus (larger bag will be stored under the bus)
  • Homework
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Healthy Snacks
  • $$ for 2 dinners (TBD) and 1 breakfast
  • $$ for shopping (rowing vendors & regatta shirt)

  • Ross' Landing, Chattanooga, TN
  • Riverfront Pkwy will be shut down for the regatta and will be walking only
  • Parking is available near the Tennessee Aquarium

PARENT/FAMILY SEATS ON THE SORA BUS:

  • Space is still available at a cost of $50 per rider (one-way or round-trip).
  • Payment is available online through https://soracrew.wildapricot.org/event-2006350 
  • Please note that rooms at the team hotel are sold out. Before you reserve a space on the bus, make sure you can get accommodations in the greater Chattanooga area. You may also need ground transportation but many area hotels run shuttles to the venue area and/or you may be able to ride with parents who have cars.

ROWERS who are riding home, after the regatta, with parents must notify coach Katie & their assigned coach on the SORA team bus:
